camping hiking, coleman tent Welcome all of the camping hiking and outdoor enthusiasts out there. This is as you can see the first post on a blog devoted to the great outdoors. We all have amazing stories, thoughts and opinions on camping, hiking and enjoying all Mother Nature has blessed for us this summer so feel free to share comments on anything you read. Being August, I am counting the days until the weather starts to cool down and a 30 minute hike up a nearby Southern California trail doesn’t result into a t-shirt that looks like it just jumped into the pool. From what I have heard from friends and family in Arizona, they too are looking forward to high summer temps to subside for some more relaxing less dehydrating outdoor camping hiking fun.

My brother said it was supposed to be 110 degrees there over the weekend. That makes 85 degrees in the LA area feel like an oasis. One great thing I experienced camping hiking and boating last summer was leaving the Coleman tent in the truck and camping under the Southwest stars. There is really nothing like it. Word to wise, don’t setup of your sleeping bag on the desert floor, stick to a truck bed or something because creepy crawlers love investigating open, dark, comfortable places.
